Context: Ten years from now, our relationship with food will be lackluster due to decline of food production. Produce that was once available in grocery stores have now become scarce and unavailable for daily consumption. The decline of real food has been steadily replaced by products such as Soylent and 3D printed meals called Nutri Ba. With bland colored edibles that are designed to satisfy your body needs, we have lost our sense of what real food smells, looks and tastes like.
Product: Et sens is a luxury mail-order service that transforms the way we consume meal replacement products. It is a sensory collection of ingestible ingredients that reintroduces real food through the senses. Et Sens delivers three tiers of sensory experiences: 1) an olfactory kit to smell extracts from foods of the past; 2) a 3D printed cartridge to blend with your Nutri Ba meal printer; and finally, a sample of the real food that has been farmed and engineered for our rekindled use.

Context: An estimated 3,500 -4,000 children in the United States each year suffer stroke, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.But children with disabilities can develop and achieve their full potential with assistance from the rehabilitation services.
“Kids have an ability to use new parts of the brain to take over tasks that the injured parts were doing. This ability exists in adults but not to the degree it exists in children,” Dr. Paul Gerrard, the associate medical director of New England Rehabilitation, said.
During research I found that one of the most effective ways help kids participate in rehabilitation is to keep kids motivated and engaged. And one of the best way is to give a character to the disabled part of the body to allow them to have representations of themselves. Kids can personalize Zoe by changing her dreams (into space as an astronaut, to zoo as a animal train, to Olympic Games as an athlete, etc.) And professional doctors and physical therapists can add or remove phases according to kids’ recovery conditions.
The character, Zoe, will talk to kids, remind kids to do physical therapy, and help kids go through this tough process with motivation and pleasure.

Context: Diabetes people have hard time to monitor their blood sugar level. The version nowadays is complex and invasive. In my project, I am looking for a way that can change the way that using this range of product. Also, I am trying to build connection between blood sugar level and daily sugar intake in order to make detection of blood sugar level more efficient.
Product: Sugar Wise, the world first predictable blood sugar level monitor. It is a way to measure glucose levels in real-time throughout the day and connect it into your food style. To successfully manage diabetes, a monitoring system is needed to consistently check your glucose levels.
Monitor glucose activity in real-time with a small sensor. And predict your glucose levels once you eat. Then, alarm you when glucose levels too high.

Context: “Eat your breakfast. It’s the most important meal of the day!” Any breakfast is better than no breakfast, but having doughnuts or cereals all the time doesn’t sound conducive. Apparently they also don’t contain the nutrients a kid really needs. Also, breakfast is the most difficult time for working parents to make their kids to have breakfast.
Product: meal mate is a interactive product that helps users cultivate a habit of serving their kids certain food with breakfast. Getting into the habit of serving healthy breakfast will make their kids’ day as sustainable and productive. The product is a set of projector and plate which responds in real time. When kids try any foods on the plate, the character projected from the device praises kids to cheer them up to have food. Yet, it they don’t try certain foods on the plate, the character moves to that food area on the plate and tell kids to try it and nudge them with interesting stories. The product ultimately helps kids to have an healthy breakfast with fun not, but also helps parents to save their hustle and bustle morning schedule.

Context: 10 years from now, our relationships with each other will change. Nowadays people put up a facade to hide our true emotions at work and public social events. . People hide their feelings for different reasons. We are slowly losing our sense of emotions. However Internet is becoming more and more popular. People use Internet emojis to show their emotions more than they show their real emotions.
Product: Clothing covers our face. There is a Neopixel LED screen on the chest with four different kinds of popular emojis. A button can control which emoji and the color of the emoji to show on the LED screen. EMO interaction clothing combines real life with the Internet. It helps people show off their emotions in a visual and modern way.

Context: Despite technological advancement transforming how we interact with our cities and with each other, our basic needs to sleep, eat, work and get from place to place stay the same. For the last couple of decades, cities were planned for cars, paving parking lots and proposing urban freeways. In the next decades to come, urban infrastructure will go through a transformation. How will going from one point to the other be like in the future? Will we still be accessing services from smartphones? As physical and digital worlds converge, where will user interfaces live outside our smartphones?
As a continuation from part 1, I explored how Flui may manifest in a broadened scope, considering a larger context of the future of urban mobility, for someone who commutes on a fixed daily routine and someone who is always on-the-go. How will Flui live, as a personal, fixed versus on-the-go solution, or in a shared public space?
Product: Flui is a ride share service for conscious urban dwellers. It knows its users’ schedules and confirms a ride plans for their daily commute, helping to maximize and optimize road use in congested cities, while providing a fluid end-to-end user experience.
A fixed Flui button from part 1, will be used by Sarah, who commutes between her home at Santa Clara and her office in San Francisco, on a daily basis. John, a sales engineer, is always on-the-go, hopping from one city to another. With Flui on-the-go, a nearby registered Flui car, equipped with self-driving technology, not in used by its owner, goes to where John is and picks him up. With Flui on-the-go, John despite being a visitor, has access to shared cars from the local community.
Flui on-the-go button shares the same form as the larger fixed button at home or office. Both Flui buttons also share a consistent visual signalling behaviors (blinks & glows), while only Flui on-the-go is equipped with tactile feedback.

Context: From the 14th century, people in the cafe discussed politics and business; the cafe that time provided people with various games or newspaper to help them generate topics and keep chatting. While nowaday, people in the cafe communicate with others online or they find people they want to talk online and then come to the coffee shop. And the cafe provides with phone charger or free wifi. People nowadays prefer to have the productive and motivated conversation.
Product: In 2027, Cafe X is the coffee shop combines the interpersonal conversation with the productive conversation. A tiny robot will import people’s professional profile and social orientation by facial recognition. And then the robot will display the matching results; people can decide if they want to talk with this person or not after reviewing others’ profiles. If two people satisfied with each other, their robots will guide them to find each other, and a conversation will start.
